Same virus - different name - Mass hysteria!

(Toronto, Canada)

SARS-CoV-2 the virus that causes Covid-19. I lived in Scarborough when SARs-Cov broke out in 2003, Patient 0 went into my neighborhood Scarborough General Hospital and initiated the breakout of the virus.

No one was prepared, and the result was - Canada had over 400 cases and 44 deaths - Toronto Blacklist by Britain and a number of other countries.

But life remain unchanged for the vast majority of Torontonians. Fast forward 2020 - Same virus - different name - Mass hysteria!!

Driven by social media, false information and conspiracy theories. Fact, there is no cure for SARs despite all R&D being spent.

If a cure can not be found for the common cold, how can they find a cure for the flu as it is viral not bacterial.

All that can be done is to treat the symptoms and in time a "Healthy body" will be able to fight the flu and be restored to normal in 1-4 weeks.

Covid-19 is not a "Death sentence" for healthy persons and this flu will level out and a 2nd wave will hit and then SARS-COV-2 will disappear.

Keep the vulnerable safe.
Elderly, and immune suppressed especially - Its the pneumonia caused by the virus that is killing people.

Wuhan is reporting now minimal new cases, people are recovering and yes their death rate will continue to climb as with over 80K people still sick it's bound to happen.

Perhaps this time around it will be taken serious- SARs in 2003 reported 8,098 cases, resulting in 774 deaths in 17 reporting countries world wide.

What will be the final tally for SARS-Cov-2? Sanitation-and safe practices are the key for SARs and is the key SARs-COv-2.

Will the world leaders finally wake up or will be facing SARs-COV-3 next or another deadly outbreak of H1N1-Swine Flu?

Wellesley's Note

Hey Stanley,

Oh boy, there is so many theories out there, at this point I have no idea what to believe, except to keep safe, prepare and ask love ones to do the same.

I tell you though, there are a lot of learnings that will be coming out of this one.

Thanks for sharing my friend!
