Tingalayas Retreat Cliffside Pool

The Tingalaya’s Retreat in Negril is more than just your regular run-of-the-mill accommodations. This is an entire experience. This is a place of refuge for those who want to escape the modern, overly electronic world, to enjoy being wrapped in nature.

While there is still Wi-Fi available in the rooms, there are many green spaces all over the property including the Yoga pavilion where you can disconnect for a while. 

Accommodations at Tingalaya’s Retreat

Butterfly Bungalows A and B-

The tranquillity of this hidden garden home permeates every aspect of its design. The bungalow is furnished with a hand-selected antique mahogany bed, travertine floors, original artwork, and ceramic tile wall panels from Persia and Morocco.

It is surrounded by the lush, tropical gardens of Tingalaya's main grounds. Both Bungalows are sister suites and can be connected to make one large family suite.

Hummingbird Bungalow C and D

These are the ideal getaway because of their quiet eclectic style. The bungalows are furnished with a hand-selected ancient mahogany bed, travertine floors, teakwood accents, and original artwork that pays respect to both old Jamaica and Indonesia. It is tucked away in the lush tropical gardens of Tingalaya's main grounds. They can also be connected for larger groups of friends or families.

Seaview Cottage

The Seaview Cottage is a cosy coastal getaway located on a hill with views of the Caribbean Sea. The home, which is close to the shady beach and cliffside pool, features a unique assortment of hand-selected antiques and original artwork. This home is a retreat for unplugging from the outside world, whether you choose to unwind by the beach or swing to the breeze in your hammock.

Sunset Cottage

The Sunset Cottage is tucked away on a bluff with a view of the ocean and is surrounded by towering Australian willow trees. This cosy beach home features an antique double bed, original artwork, teak details, and a private outside hideaway with a hammock and spectacular Caribbean views.

Sea Grape Cottage

This suite is a representation of Old Jamaican history and charm, with antique touches, original artwork, and hints to East Asia. This magnificent suite, which sleeps three people, is furnished with a queen canopy bed, a sizable screened-in wraparound porch, and towering shuttered windows for more privacy.

The Great House

With a more than 1300 square feet living area, this diverse room is a tribute to Old Jamaica, Indonesia, and Africa. This spacious suite is ideal for families and features a completely screened wraparound veranda situated among the lush tropical grounds. It is furnished with original art sourced worldwide and real Jamaican mahogany floors.

The Villa At Tingalaya's

This secluded hideaway is 3,000 square feet and offers a calm place to establish roots. The Villa is positioned to be the ideal location for some alone time or a fun family getaway by the Sea because it is situated just on the edge of the water.

Let a local chef who has been specifically requested prepare your favourite dishes in your own kitchen. Catch up on new reads in the spacious living area, or simply take in the sights and sounds of the gorgeous Caribbean Sea from your private deck. The Villa offers opportunities that are as vast as the horizons.

Eating and Drinking at Tingalaya’s

Throughout your stay, enjoy their free farm-to-table breakfast in the Octagon Dining Room's outdoor setting.

The menu offers a delectable selection of locally grown favourites, classic breakfast dishes, and all the Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee you can drink while surrounded by the natural lushness of the renowned gardens.

On request, midday refreshments can be made in their kitchen. Give them a few hours notice and they will make you and your guests a truly Jamaican meal made with locally sourced ingredients.

Activities at the Tingalaya’s

In the unique, 1,200-square-foot Cottonwood Yoga Pavilion, visitors can unwind, realign, and rejuvenate the mind and body. The Pavilion is only one of several tranquil spaces that can be found on the site; it is completely covered and surrounded by lush vegetation.

Allow them to set up a private yoga session for you and your guests in the Pavilion or on the yoga deck by the water. Additionally, the Cottonwood Pavilion has a little library with books and board games.

They are a little off the usual road as a cliffside getaway but in all the best ways. But they can provide you with a variety of transportation options to move about the island. When you arrive, they will gladly make the following arrangements:
