Puerto Seco Beach in Discovery Bay has been an “it” beach since the late sixties and people would make the trip from as far as Kingston for a day at the beach.

Thinking about that trip now, it doesn’t sound as daunting but remember back then, the roads and transportation weren’t as they are now.
Today, the beach has been turned into an oasis with recent renovation efforts costing JMD 5, 000,000. There is so much to expect from the new and improved Puerto Seco beach.

Dolphin Cove Puerto Seco
Dolphin Cove is one of the many attractions visited frequently in Ocho Rios. Before they were the only place in Jamaica that offer an opportunity to be up close with the friendly sea creatures. That is until they branched out to Montego Bay and Puerto Seco beach.
Resort Divers
Through another partnership, you can also enjoy watersports like scuba diving at Puerto Seco Beach. Resort Divers knows a thing or two about watersports as they have been doing it for over 30 years on Jamaica’s North Coast.
Food
The weekday and weekend menus are separate at Puerto Seco. On weekdays the Beach Vibes and Seafood Menu are served. You will get sandwiches, wraps, nuggets, jerked meals and fish. On the weekend we provide a Jamaican-styled buffet menu, as well as jerked meals, burgers and the Seafood Menu.
How much does Puerto Seco Beach cost?
General Admission to the beach gives you access to the beach, pool, Wi-Fi and the limited shaded beach huts which are up for grabs.
Me Time (Single Entry) - USD $60
Package includes:
- Choice of Entrée from our New Beach Vibes Menu
- Beer or Soda
- Amenities - Wi-Fi, Pool, Lockers, Beach Umbrella, Lounge Chair, Access to Aquapark
Locals get this same package at a reduced price of USD 20.
Family Frenzy(10max) - USD$400
Package includes:
- Choice of Entrée from our Beach Menu
- Four Pitchers of Red Stripe Beer or Choice of Soda,
- Amenities - Designated Space with 10 Lounge Chairs under a Palapas, Wi-Fi, Pool, Lockers, Access to Aquapark
This packages is only available for groups with 6 adults and 4 kids or 4 adults and Kids.
Cabana Crazy (8max) - USD 1,000
Package includes:
- Welcome Cocktail
- Welcome Appetizer Platter Seafood Pon Top of Seafood or King of Jerk Platter.
- Your choice of Lunch Entrée from our premium menu.
- Four Pitchers of Beer or Soda.
- Cooler with assorted chasers and water.
- Standard Bar Rack – Rum, Vodka, Baileys.
- Amenities - Wi-Fi, Pool, Lockers, Access to Aquapark
Additional costs to consider will be food and drinks as well as beach chairs and umbrellas which are available for rent if the shade under the thatch is all spoken for.
Watersports are also at an additional cost but the use of the waterpark is included in all entries.
Additional group rates and deals may be available if you call and speak with the events coordinator.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Re-entry allowed at Puerto Seco?
No, you are not allowed to leave the premises and return on the same ticket. If you leave for whatever reason, you will be required to purchase another ticket to gain entry.
Can you bring food to Puerto Seco?
No. Food and Drink are prohibited from the Puerto Seco Beach property unless it was bought there.
What is the cost for a lounge chair/beach bed and lockers?
Lounge chairs and lockers are a part of entry but a JMD 500 security deposit is required. The security deposit is returned to you when the key for the locker is returned.
Which parish is Puerto Seco in Jamaica?
The Puerto Seco Beach is located in Discovery Bay in the Parish of St. Ann.
