Here are 3 reasons you should visit Negril Jamaica:

For Couple's vacation

Whether you are here for your honeymoon or just a quick weekend getaway with your partner a trip to Negril will surely put some extra spark to your relationship. Resorts like Sandals Negril, Hedonism II and Couples Negril are three great options if you want to add a lot of romance and spice to your getaway.

However, you don’t need to stay on the resort property for your entire trip. Here are three things you must do on your trip as a couple.

  1. Sunset at Ricks Café - This is where you need to be for the most breathtaking sunset of your life. The romantic atmosphere will be mesmerizing as you watch the sun slowly descend toward the vast open waters, surrounded by loving couples doing the same as you.

  2. Romantic Dinner at The Caves - This is possibly the most romantic thing you can do in Negril. Imagine, a romantic candle-lit dinner, in a cave with the soft echo of the surrounding ocean, plus delicious food… heaven.

  3. Liquid Yoga with Jessica at Negril Treehouse - Have you ever heard of liquid yoga? If not it is worth a try and you can do it with your partner. It’s the perfect way to truly connect.

For Family Vacation

Negril is the ideal location for a family vacation and many resorts cater specifically to families with children. They tend to have so many amenities, such as water parks, the beach, water sports, game rooms and kids clubs, so leaving the resort property may not even cross your mind.

Beaches Negril, Hotel Riu Palace and Royalton Negril are three very popular Family resorts in Negril.

But, if you do decide to leave the resort, here are 3 great things you can do in Negril with the entire family.

  1. Booby Cay Island - The island of Booby Cay is quaint and remote, making it the perfect location for picnickers and fans of water sports, among others. This charming little island is a Jamaican treasure because of its outstanding natural beauty, tranquillity, clear turquoise water, and fair sands.

  2. Barneys Humming Bird Garden - A beautiful garden with an abundance of exotic flowers and plants that attracts gorgeous Hummingbirds all year round, so prepare to be awed.

  3. Mayfield Falls - Picture a flurry of vibrant butterflies and dragonflies flying amongst dark green leaves. As mongooses head off in search of food, birds can be heard singing in soprano, accompanied by the baritone of toads and frogs. At the Royal Palm Reserve, a wildlife conservation initiative by the Negril Area Environmental Protection Trust, unaltered, unharmed nature at its calmest awaits you.

For Destination Wedding:

Wedding locations in Negril frequently take inspiration from colonial architecture and Jamaican culture. Expect over-water gazebos and immaculately maintained gardens, both of which are ideal for romantic wedding ceremonies.

Extend the celebration to a private reception following the ceremony, with the many terraces and restaurants providing a memorable and picturesque wedding party. 5 great resorts in Negril to have your wedding.

  1. Azul Beach Resort- Get married beneath the traditional beachfront gazebo, where a handcrafted huppa elevates seats with ribbon ties and posts with floral decorations. Other venues include the rooftop terrace, the Di Romanga Terrace and the Yoga Hut.

  2. Beaches Negril- a great resort to choose for your wedding if you are expecting t have many guests of varying ages, including children. They have three wedding venues, The Beach which can accommodate 200 guests and the Garden and Oceanview Gazebos which both accommodates 120 guests.

  3. Couples Swept Away- this is another adult-only resort with 5 wedding venues on site. The Main Beach, Beach Gazebo and Hanover suite can accommodate up to 150 guests while The Great House Pool Deck and Garden venues can accommodate 100.

  4. Hideaway at Royalton Negril- this is another adult-only resort with 5 wedding venues on site. The Beach (150 guests), Ocean Point Gazebo (130 guests), Sky Terrace (80 guests), Ocean Pier 1 (10 guests) and Ocean Pier 2 (30 guests).
