Many people however prefer the latter - the resorts. Truth be told, the Jamaican resorts are amongst the best in the world. They offer guests the opportunity to relax and be pampered while enjoying top-rate service.

To help you successfully plan a trip to Jamaica, we have reviewed three of the island’s most popular resorts.

They are Jewel Dunn’s River Beach Resort & Spa, Rose Hall Resort and Sandals Grande Ocho Rios Beach & Villa Resort. After reading these reviews, you will know of at least three great Jamaican resorts. Consider these when you are making plans to visit the island.

Jewel Dunn's River Beach Resort & Spa

This particular resort is located near Dunn’s River Falls. Dunn’s River Falls is one of the most popular attractions in all of Jamaica. Jewel Dunn’s River Beach Resort & Spa is all-inclusive and one of Jamaica’s hottest destinations for couples. It is an adult-only retreat, so the kiddos will have to stay at home.

Perfect for honeymoons, anniversaries or just because, guests are able to enjoy candlelit dinners on the beach, hang out at the pool and toast the island or each other from one of the resort’s bars. Watching the sun rise and set via ones private balcony while smelling the fresh ocean air is another unforgettable experience. Rates at the Jewel Dunn’s River Beach Resort and Spa, start at $260 and top off at about $650 per night.

Rose Hall Resort

The Rose Hall Resort is another very good Jamaican resort. It is located between the island’s mountains and its beautiful beaches. Located right on the beach, the gorgeous building which houses the hotel, was at one time, a sugar plantation.

Guests will enjoy spending time at the resort’s private beach, golfing at an onsite championship-level golf course that was designed by Robert Von Hagge and spending time at the local water park, Sugar Mill Falls Water Park. The Rose Hall Resort is owned by Hilton and located only 15 minutes away from the Montego Bay city.

Sandals Grande Ocho Rios Beach & Villa Resort

Sandals Grande Ocho Rios Beach & Villa Resort is a couples-only resort, located near fragrant gardens and the island’s beautiful beaches. Individuals will be able to go scuba diving, play golf at a local, championship golf course and walk along the pristine, sandy beaches Jamaica is known for. This resort is priced between $215 and $525 night.

This Sandals Grande Ocho Rios Beach & Villa Resort has undergone several name changes. It was first known as the Ciboney and then Beaches Grande Sport. Today, the resort offers 24 hour front desk support, a business center, concierge service, a spa, fitness center, outdoor pool, room service and an on-site restaurant.

If you are planning to vacation in Jamaica consider staying at one of the island’s fabulous resorts. Many are all-inclusive and the best ones offer gorgeous accommodations and first-rate service. Three excellent Jamaican resorts to consider are Sandals Grande Ocho Rios Beach & Villa Resort, Rose Hall Resort and Jewel Dunn's River Beach Resort & Spa.
