Time and time again, I asked my site readers, "What makes Jamaica special?" You'd expect answers like, 'The Beaches', 'The Weather', 'Jamaican Jerk', 'Sports', 'The Attractions', 'Reggae Music', 'Blue Mountain Coffee', etc, right?

Indeed! But one notable answer inevitably comes up too, wanna guess?

Yep, you guessed it, "The People"!

Jamaicans, home and away, have truly made this country stood out - even the bad apples! Sadly though, we often easily forget some of our most distinguished individuals who are not necessarily in the news everyday.

It is partly for this reason why we felt obliged to highlight some of these notable persons. All of whom are quietly making (or have quietly made) a positive contribution to our nation's development - in their own little way.

I am very excited about this project as I look forward to meet, and share with you, some of Jamaica's best minds! You are welcome to share in the event, by posting and commenting on the interviews.
