There are millions of visitors who disembark on our island annually. They get to enjoy the wonders and beauty of a vacation in Jamaica - even if it is just for a day!

The three main stops for cruise ships on the island are at Montego BayFalmouth and Ocho Rios, but Port Antonio also has a port. These resort towns have ports that are large enough to accommodate more than one ship and are well equipped to handle the large number of visitors.

Just imagine sailing from one location to next on a ship that is luxurious and relaxing while enjoying the beautiful destinations such as Jamaica.

These trips are very popular with the elderly, families, couples, romantic honeymooners and other explorers.

When you are on a cruise there will be organized activities such as city tours, sightseeing trips and of the immediate surroundings. But there are also numerous tour companies that are readily available with specially designed tours which will take you to various attractions in the resort town and sometimes out of town.

When looking for deals a vacation cruise would offer numerous as there are many companies that are competing for passengers. You will find that the cruises will vary in prices and will also depend on the location and size cabin that you will choose.

When you are searching for special packages on discounts there are numerous ways to go about it, you can easily use the internet; but a travel agent is recommended.

Another important thing is to book your trip weeks in advance as this way you will enjoy cheaper rates; booking your own trip guarantees that you get all you want on vacation.

Jamaica is growing popular as a cruise destination and it is said that almost half of the travelers to Caribbean annually wants to visit Jamaica. They hear about the warm weather, lovely white sand beaches, the people and rich culture and want to experience the real Jamaican life.

What happens next is they get a sample of the offerings and fall deeply in love and want more than just a short stay; majority of them returns for longer stay at the resorts.

This popularity has grown so much that during the high season bookings have to be made months in advance.

Some people like the idea of having the activities and amenities on board and they get to enjoy a little of what each port has to offer. When you choose a western Caribbean cruise it will take you to Jamaica, however, most of the cruise into the Caribbean start from Florida.

The best time for a cruise is during the holidays and winter season as travelers are in search of warmth. The popular holiday cruises are Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Yearโ€™s Eve and Easter. The season between Decembers to early part of April will have higher prices as this period is very popular.

If you are on a budget and want to experience the Caribbean the best times would be in the spring time. There is one drawback with a cruise at this time because of the hurricanes, but you will really get to enjoy a vacation.

These trips are also very flexible and you get cruises to Jamaica that will last for one day, two days or one or two weeks. But however you choose to spend your time or what time of year you get to the island, you are guaranteed to enjoy all that it has to offer.
