OK, so now you need a Jamaican tour guide; someone to expertly guide you around the country while providing you with all the level of personal security, safety and reliability your require.
But before all that, you'll need someone who is knowledgeable of the country and who deeply understands the culture right?
You will also need someone who knows the best of food, the best of places to visit, attractions and historical sites, as well as who is aware of all the 'dos and don'ts'.
And don't overlook this...
You will need someone who is 'traditionally professional', people friendly and punctual - and may I would suggest, speaks local dialect but is also fluent in English. Please don't expect anything less.
So how can you find and acquire the services of such a Jamaican Tour Guide? That's the BIG question.
I'll be honest with you and say, it is not so easy, seriously.
If you arrive and simply utter that you might need a guide, several people, not lest the local tour taxi operators will come rushing to your assistance.
But wait! Don't just hire the first that comes to you offering his services!
We do have tremendously professional and sincere guides, but there are still some that may not have your interest at heart - the very last thing you need as a visitor in a foreign country right?
If you are staying at a local hotel, I would suggest you seek advice from your guest relations or visitor guide desk. For the most part, you can trust them to give you some solid advice and direction.
Check with friends who came here before too!
More often than not, they know someone, perhaps who they've used and who could be a great asset to your trip or excursion.
There is also one person I would haste to recommend to you, his name is Mr. Neville Spence - a family friend.
Neville does island wide individual and group tours, trips and excursions across Jamaica through his company, Island Dream Tours.
He has been in this business for a number of years and knows virtually all the 'nook and cranny' of the island.
But most importantly he is a genuine, sincere and 'down to earth' professional man- and may I add very punctual.
You can reach Neville directly by just completing this form below.
He or someone from his team will get back to you in short order.

My assurance to you, I'd never recommend a person or entity who I wouldn't use my self :-)
Enjoy your travels!
