Here are 4 of the best falls in Ocho Rios Jamaica.

Ocho Rios Blue Hole

There are many “Blue Holes” in Jamaica, so you must be very specific when giving directions to Blue Hole. This one in particular is the Cool Blue Hole in Ocho Rios. After paying your USD 20 admission (USD 10 for children), you will gain access to the 20ft deep blue hole. There is a platform above the water where you can jump in from about 6ft high or, if you are up to it, you can use the rope swing instead.

The Secret Falls or Island Gully Falls is a little hike away from Blue Hole. So if you are up to it, you can also take the trek to these falls.

Some tour companies offer guided tours to Blue Hole, in this case, the admission might already be included in the overall price of the trip.

Konoko Falls and Park

The Konoko Falls in Ocho Rios combines nature and history. The stunning grounds can be toured, guided or unguided, to learn more about the Taino people who once occupied Jamaica.

If you would love to skip the tour you can head straight to the falls instead. Take full advantage of the entire property with its petting zoo, aviary, koi pond, gardens and museum.

There is also a restaurant and multiple restrooms for your convenience. The restaurant is especially needed as no food and drink bought off the property will be allowed in.

The admission is USD 20 for adults and USD 10 for children, however, locals get discounted rates of $1,500 and JMD 1,000 respectively. The park and falls are open daily including public holidays between the hours of 8 AM and 4:30 PM.

Laughing Waters

This seemingly secret falls and beach combination in St. Ann is not very far from another popular Ocho Rios. The Laughing Waters, mainly visited by locals was the location of the iconic scene from the James Bond movie, “Live and Let Die.”

The beach has managed to maintain the charm that captured the attention of so many all those years ago with very little and only necessary changes to the property.

Most locals will take the more “adventurous” route to the beach which avoids paying admission and requesting permission to enter the beach. But if you wish to contact the organisation in charge of operating the building, then you can call the company below.

The large beach is used for weddings and just for friends and family get-togethers.

Dunn’s River Falls

Watch Video! The Famous Dunn's River Falls

Arguably the most well-known place in Jamaica, Dunn’s River Falls has long been a must-visit site in Ocho Rios.

The falls are 180 ft tall and 600 ft wide, the tallest in Jamaica. Not only can you hike the massive waterfalls on the wet or dry hike with a guide and other visitors but you can also enjoy the beach where the falls meet the Caribbean Sea. For an even more unique experience, you can zipline over the falls with Chukka.

The cost for this experience is not included in the general admission for Dunn’s River Falls. The cost for admission to the falls is currently USD 25 for adults and USD 17 for children. Jamaicans benefit from a discounted rate of JMD 1000 and JMD 500 respectively.

You may have heard of Little Dunn’s River Falls, the uncommercialised less crowded alternative not far from Dunn’s River in Ocho Rios. It is currently closed by the relevant authorities.
