Portmore Jamaica is not your typical choice for a vacation destination. But with its proximity to Kingston, it does attract those visiting the island’s capital city and looking for budget-friendly accommodations.

There is not much of an abundance of accommodations in Portmore, to begin with, you certainly won’t find any major resorts or hotels. Besides Airbnb in Portmore, guesthouses are another great option for those working with a budget.

Guesthouses are also a great option for those who prefer more quiet accommodations than what you can typically find at a major hotel.

The services are much more personalised; in most cases, genuine connections are made between guests and staff. If you are visiting for business, it is an even better choice since you would avoid spending on amenities you will most likely not use.

As mentioned above, there aren’t many options for accommodations in Portmore, if you are seeking a wider variety of choices, Kingston, the capital city is very close by and offers many more options.

Oh, and if you have made up your mind, that Portmore is where you will be spending your time, ensure to add a visit to Hellshire beach to your list of places. You can chill by the beach or visit the restaurant for authentic Jamaican cuisine.
