Merrils Beach Resorts - Merril's II, Negril | Family Dinner

Merril’s Beach Resorts in the capital of casual, Negril has all the ingredients for a delightful vacation. Good food and great vibes can be expected at the all-inclusive resort, but the great Jamaican hospitality that is so often spoken of can be felt here tenfold.
What’s even better, the beachfront property has its own stake on the famed Seven-Mile Beach, well-known for its warm turquoise depths that are perfect for both children and adults.

How did I find this out, well it is all first-hand information (well, second-hand but from a very reliable source) Wellesley and his family spent the weekend at Merril’s II and had a lovely time. He shared some of this trip with us on YouTube and you can check it out here.

Both Merril’s II and Merril’s Deluxe are Jamaican owned and operated which means both properties offer the true Jamaican experience, for locals, you’ll be greeted with warm, friendly, familiar faces and visitors, will get a true representation of Jamaica through the food, staff, entertainment, ambience and overall vibe of both beachfront properties.

Accommodations

Merrils Beach Resorts - Merril's II, Negril | Bed

Merril’s Beach Resort II offers 38 spacious rooms in a tropical garden. In addition to the double beds the rooms also have:

• Balcony (ocean, pool or garden view)
• Separate Living area with Kitchen (Living Room Chairs, Dining Table for 2, Microwave, Refrigerator, Coffeemaker)
• TV
• Air Conditioning & Ceiling Fans
• Vanity
• Wardrobe
• Toiletries
• Pool
• Safety deposit box

Merril’s Deluxe (Formally Merrils I)

Whereas Merril’s has 3-star ratings, Merril’s Deluxe or as locals would know it Merrils II is a four-star resort.

Merril’s Deluxe has 55 rooms outfitted with a king/queen size bed and all the other amenities Merril’s II has.

Restaurants

Merrils Beach Resorts - Merril's II, Negril | Drinks By The Beach

Merril’s II has one restaurant and bar. The restaurant offers a full buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It boasts a predominantly Jamaican menu such as ackee and saltfish, along with a splash of international cuisine throughout.

Merril’s Deluxe also has a restaurant and a grill that offers extended lunch, but guests from both properties have free access to all the amenities of both resorts.

Activities and Entertainment At Merril's Beach Resorts

• Non-motorized watersports (including paddleboards and kayaks)
• Live entertainment twice a week from a local Reggae band
• Billiards (pool)
• Table tennis
• Live entertainment
• Beach volleyball
• Beach football
• Card Games

Offsite Activities

Merril’s is very close to a few attractions and activities which include:

• Kool Runnings Adventure Park
• Ricks Café
• Snorkelling
• Chukka Adventures
• Dolphin Cove Montego Bay
• Motorized water sports
• Non-Motorized water sports
• Negril Night Clubs
• Beach Party Locations
• And Shopping

These activities and attractions however are not included in the all-inclusive packages at Merril’s Beach Resorts.

Merril’s is perfect for long stays as it is very comfortable and is all-inclusive, which makes it one of the most inexpensive accommodations in Jamaica, especially which the amenities and real estate that it boasts.

For this reason, they do have a lot of European visitors while most resorts tend to have mostly US or Canadian visitors. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet guests, who will become friends and vacation buddies as Merril’s Beach Resorts tend to have alot of repeat guests as you’ll come to notice.

Beach Weddings At Merril's Beach Resorts

Merril’s speciality is beachfront weddings and vow renewals. They have some very affordable wedding packages that can be discussed so you too, can join the many who have used the Seven-Mile Beach and captivating sunset as the backdrop for their big day.

Is Merril’s Child Friendly?

Yes, it is. In fact, child care services are available on request.

Merril’s has done what most companies (tourists or otherwise) have been unable to do in most cases and that is to retain their employees for many years, some from the very day they began some 20 years ago.
