The resort chain has 10 locations in Mexico and Jamaica and have been in business for over 30 years. Their Moon Palace Jamaica location was added to the list of luxury resorts in 2015. It's their first resort outside of Mexico.

Where Is Moon Palace Jamaica Located?

But, just where is Moon Palace Jamaican located? I don’t think you’ll be surprised to learn that this hotel is located in Ocho Rios, the adventure capital and popular tourist spot in Jamaica.

Accommodation At Moon Palace

The first thing most people want to see when they get to a resort is their room, right? It sets the tone of what to expect from the resort. So, selecting a room or suite with all the amenities you want to make your stay memorable is one of the most important steps when planning your ultimate vacation.

Moon Palace Jamaica has over 700 rooms in 10 different room categories. Each has something quite unique. But here is an overview of all the basic features of most rooms.

  • Liquor dispenser

  • Robes and slippers

Dining At Moon Palace Jamaica

What is a vacation without great food? Nothing! Well, Moon Palace Jamaica has a total of seven restaurants so food is something you don’t ever have to concern yourself about, you will have a range of cuisines to choose from right throughout your stay.

  • La Gondola - Located in an elegant Italian villa, La Gondola serves traditional Italian cuisine prepared by Italian chef, Michele Cominelli. Foods are prepared with the best and freshest ingredients. They are open for dinner between the hours of 6 and 11 pm. No reservations are needed but the dress code states that no bare feet, swimwear or sleeveless shirts are allowed. 

  • Boulangerie - his is the resort's quaint Parisian café, for all your ice creams, crepes, coffees and pastries to satisfy your sweet tooth. The best part is they are open 24/7. Avoid wearing swimsuits or going shirtless, it is not allowed. 

  • Sundeck - Enjoy your favourite homemade pizzas, pasta and more. Relax on the sundeck and enjoy the beautiful views while you sip on delicious cocktails. They are open for both lunch and dinner. 

  • Pier 8 - You simply must enjoy some Jamaican flavours while in Jamaica. Pier 8 offers you a wide selection of Jamaican cuisine for breakfast lunch and dinner. 

  • Buccaneer’s Reef - Serves both Jamaican and other international cuisines for breakfast lunch and dinner. No reservation is necessary so you can just pop in. 

  • Momo - If you enjoy Asian cuisine, then this is one restaurant you will surely enjoy. From elegantly made sushi to dramatic hibachi tables, they serve up a wide variety of Asian cuisine with a twist of Jamaican flavours. Teppanyaki and Hibachi tables require reservations. They are open for dinner only. 

  • Gourmet Corner - Located in the lobby of the resort and perfect for guests who are on the go, they offer an eclectic menu of pizza, sushi and paninis. They are open between the hours of 11 am and 11 pm.

Entertainment at Moon Palace Jamaica

It is almost impossible to ever be bored at Moon Palace unless you lock yourself away in your room, and even then I am sure with all that the room features you will still be able to enjoy yourself. But if you venture outside you will see that endless fun awaits you.

  • Tours - book any tour offered through the resort to truly discover Jamaica such as swimming with dolphins, or amusement park-style rides through the rainforest of Jamaica. 
  • Playroom - perfect for kids to explore within a secured environment. They can enjoy playing with building blocks, indoor ball pit, kiddie pool and much more.
  • Flowrider - enjoy surfing or want to learn? Well, the FlowRider Double wave simulator will provide you with endless waves.
  • Nightlife - a wide range of entertainment and shows available, even Karaoke night!

Moon Palace Jamaica’s Awe Spa

The Awe Spa at Moon Palace is one of Jamaica’s notably largest spas. It is a complete adult-only experience. From wraps to facials and massages, they offer a wide range of treatment options to leave you feeling rejuvenated. Start your journey with these 80-minute treatments:
