So you are heading to Jamaica and the word Royalton has been floating around. I see you are already off to a great start. Now, all that’s left to do is decide whether you want a fun-filled family vacation or a romantic getaway.

Oh, you’ll also have to choose which location is best for you, you have 4 options to choose from.

Royalton resorts have a total of 20 locations all across the Caribbean.

But you have already decided to come to Jamaica so let’s look at what Royalton Resorts Jamaica offers.

Royalton Negril

The Royalton Negril is located on the coveted Seven-Mile Beach in Negril Jamaica. The all-in-luxury resort boasts 7 bars, 9 restaurants, a splash park for kids, swimming pools and a sports centre. The hotel has a whopping 407 suites, the most of any of the Royalton resorts in Jamaica.

Also in Negril, as the name suggests is the Hideaway at Royalton Negril. This perfect little hideaway is for those who are searching for a getaway for themselves and their special someone, or if you’d just want to relax alone.

This is the smallest resort compared to the other resorts, with just 140 suites. It, however, has 13 bars, 11 restaurants, swimming pools and sports and fitness.

In addition to that, Hideaway guests have access to Royalton Negril as well with designated waiter services. They also have a personalised check-in and check-out.

Royalton Blue Waters

For this resort, we venture a little further north to the laid-back parish of Trelawny to the Royalton Blue Waters Resort. This resort is just the right distance away from the bustling Montego Bay to enjoy and return to the more relaxed pace of Trelawny.

Blue Waters has 228 suites, 8 bars, 11 restaurants, swimming pools, kids and teens clubs, a spa, a fitness centre and a water park.

Royalton White Sands

Not far from Royalton Blue waters is the second largest Royalton Resort offering, White Sands. The hotel has 352 rooms and suite accommodations, 5 bars, 11 restaurants, kids and teens clubs, a spa, a fitness centre, a water park, a lazy river, dance classes and swimming pools.

Accommodation

Each resort has its own somewhat unique mix of accommodation styles from a pool of Royalton Resort classic rooms and suites. The rooms have varying views and occupancy levels which provide a more well-round resort to suit all styles and levels of comfort.

The Diamond Club opens up even more suite options to you when it comes to accommodations with Jacuzzi, chairman’s and presidential suites with 1 to 4-bedroom accommodations. Speaking of the Diamond Club…

Diamond Club

It is not uncommon for resorts to have an even more elevated service that costs just a little more. For Royalton resorts, this is the Diamond Club. But what is included in the Diamond Club Services?

• Preferential reservations in à la carte restaurants
• Exclusive beach area with dedicated bar and waiter service
• Distinctive wrist bracelet
• Personalized check-in and check-out at the lounge
• Early check-in and late check-out
• Diamond Club Lounge private access
• Selected premium drinks menu available in the lounge
• Daily continental breakfast service in the lounge
• Evening hors d'oeuvres and afternoon snacks including decadent desserts in the lounge
• Upgraded room service menu
• Selection of pillows from The Royal Spa pillow menu
• Upgraded robes and slippers in room
• Exclusive discounts on spa treatments and services
• Selection of in-suite liquors
• Upgraded minibar restocked daily

As with everything, there are terms and conditions. Customised check-ins are dependent on availability, there are some restrictions on the premium drinks available in the lounge and the discounts at the spa.

You are also restricted to one bottle of in-suite wine per week and the upgraded minibar is restocked daily according to consumption.

Did I mention the Diamond Club Butler Service? This is what it provides:

• General hotel information and assistance
• Packing and unpacking of luggage
• Ironing (1 set of clothing)
• Polishing and shoe cleaning
• Ice delivery
• Preparation of Jacuzzi (upgraded room categories)
• Escort to the restaurant (upgraded room categories)
• Organizing special occasions (birthdays, anniversaries etc.)
• Assistance with restaurant reservations
• Laundry pick-up (service charge applies)

Dining and Drinking

There are varying amounts of restaurants and bars at each resort all offering a different ambience and vibe. Most restaurants are all-inclusive and reservation free, however, there are some a la carte options as well. And because three of the four hotels are family-oriented, some restaurants are adults only.

Entertainment

Entertainment is provided day and night for adults and children. The kids and teens club, the summer camp with Turbo the Turtle and the water parks and lazy river will keep the young vacationers busy. The adults can visit the beach, spa, and fitness centre or just relax by the pool and enjoy a few hours to decompress.
