58 minutes last night
by Wellesley
(Jamaica)
Last night I had the pleasure of speaking to an ardent fan of my website, Jaynia (she doesn't mind me referencing her at all).
Jaynia is a fellow Jamaican, and though not living here at this time, she is still rooted and grounded in the Jamaican culture. We definately have that in common!
In fact, she has a popluar Youtube channel about Jamaican patios, called Jamaican Sinting.
Two days earlier she sent me an email saying she'd like to speak to me.
She was very very impressed with my website and have been (secretly) following my site for a while now - finally decided to reach out to me.
Well we talked, and almost an hour (58 minutes to be exact).
At the heart of the discussion was about how I did it; how I created and maintained such a successful website. She wanted to get something like mine going as well. A hub to share her passion.
Well before I answered her, I stunned her by telling her that I still have a full time job! And that up to two years ago, was also studying by distance education - with a family!
Now I certainly would not encourage you to try all at once, absolutely not, but I think you get the idea, yes you CAN have your online business and still have your day job, like me - at least as a start.
I told her about this, the SBI way, the simple (not easy), but a simple and most effective way to a meaningful source of income from the internet.
Of course, I didn't need to say much, she was already sold, my website was a living, breathing testimony..
I just encouraged her to watch the 30 minute video they have.
In my mind, it captures everything you need to know about how SBI works in the simpliest way.
I then gave her this link to my personal story.
SBI allowed me to share my passion for my country in a fun way - and profit from it too!
Well Jaynia is off reading more about SBI, but I enjoyed the wonderful feeling of sharing my site, my 'how-I-did-it' and my success story with others, especially those close to me.
I can't wait for my first daughter to get big enough :-)
