Re: What's Your Most Memorable Jamaican Attraction/adventure feedback question
A long time ago we were waiting to check in our hotel. I sat down by guest services & was asked if I was signing up for the birthday bash, asked what it was & was told - $20 US bus to MX3 & ticket to the show.
It sounded good, I paid for me & my wife, our friends declined, told them see you in the morning. Here's the show details:
Opening song - Cedella Booker (Bob's mom)
Next act, a pantomime group on contract with Island Music.
The rest of the acts - all of Bob's boys with their respective groups!!!
The top of everything late in the show my wife says "look next to you".
Five feet away to my right is Rita Marley - swaying to Ziggy & the Melody Makers.
Almost ----, I realized no one knew who she was.
I moved a bit closer, smiled & said to her "I think dad would be very proud as I'm sure you are".
She smiled, thanked me we exchanged a "nice to see you, enjoy the show". She danced for a few more songs, smiled & said good bye to me & my wife and was on her way.
I believe the look in her eyes as she said farewell was "Thanks" for being discreet and not drawing attention to her as she enjoyed the show.
We have never topped that evening - the show of a lifetime.
