Hey Jen, thanks for asking this before your flight! You wouldn’t believe how many travelers get tripped up by these little things, so it’s good you’re on top of it.
First up, tea bags. You’re totally safe to bring them in. Jamaican customs doesn’t have tea bags on their list of prohibited or restricted items, so no permit is needed and you won’t need to declare them. As long as they’re for personal use and pre-packaged, you’re good to go.
Now for the disposable vapes. These are legal to enter Jamaica with, there’s no special duty or import restriction for personal use quantities. Just remember to keep them in your carry-on, not checked luggage, as most airlines treat them the same as lithium battery devices. And while they’re allowed in the country, public use is limited, especially in indoor or smoke-free spaces.
So long story short, yes, you can bring both your tea and vapes with you, no special paperwork needed. Just pack smart, travel light, and enjoy your holiday here.
