Covid-19 In Connecticut USA - Things Are Getting Scary Here!

Things are getting a little scary. Schools are closed indefinitely. Store shelves are pretty bare. Bans on gatherings and on unnecessary travel. State is advising everyone to social distance themselves.
I hope to god we can slow the spread of this thing. Stay safe down there all my Jamaican friends!

Thank you for the update from Connecticut in the USA, my first US visit state!
According to https://ourworldindata.org/coronavirus, there are well over 13,000 confirmed cases in the USA, at March 14, 2020. OMG.
And your situation sounds scary for real! The bans on social gathering, keeping social distance and unnecessary travel are totally understandable though. That should help to reduce what they call 'community transfer'.
Are you able to get out though?
How are you preparing otherwise? What about work? Are you working from home?
I am presuming a lot of persons are going through similar issues and would love to hear tips and best practices.
