Born in England of Jamaican parents, Joey came to Jamaica at 3 years old and loved Jamaica like a true Jamaican.
For more than 30 years of his life, Joey was very active in the theatre and advertising world, in Jamaica, Trinidad, St. Lucia and Belize.
He won many advertising awards for his expertise and in that field He wrote, produced, acted, directed in his and other plays.
His many achievements included: The Gospel of Rastafaria, Behold the Man, Devilish, Trea$ure, and Joey's play "Best Medicine" which was produced for television in Belize.
Joey married Patti Ann Ali and lived in Trinidad for about six years, returning to Jamaica when that marriage failed. Joey married Senator Lisa Shoman in September of 2009.
Joey died at age 47, of a massive heart attack on January 17, 2011.
