How Do I Send a Shipment from Colorado to Jamaica?

by Kayon

Shipping from Colorado to Jamaica

Question from Kayon, Lakewood, Colorado:

"Do you ship from Colorado to Jamaica?"

Hi Kayon, thanks so much for reaching out—and great question. The good news is, yes, you can definitely ship from Colorado to Jamaica. In fact, plenty of people do this all the time, whether it's small packages, personal items, or even larger freight shipments.

If you're sending something small like documents, clothing, or lightweight parcels, services like USPS, FedEx, DHL, or UPS are usually your easiest bet. USPS is quite popular for basic packages—things like Priority Mail International—which tends to be more affordable. But if you're in a rush or sending something more valuable, FedEx and UPS offer quicker, tracked shipping that usually gets to Jamaica in about three to five business days.

Now, if you're planning to send bigger items, or multiple boxes, you might want to look at freight forwarders. There are companies that specialize in shipping barrels, boxes, or even large equipment from the US to Jamaica. Some ship by air, which is faster, while others send by sea, which takes a little longer but can save you money for heavy shipments. Many of these freight companies have connections through Miami, which is one of the main ports for shipments heading to Jamaica, but they arrange pickups or accept shipments from all over the US—including Colorado.

One little tip though—always double-check how your item is packed, because shipping costs are often based on both the weight and the size of the box. The more compact you can pack it, the better your price will be.

And if you're sending something down to Jamaica regularly or need help finding the right shipping company, feel free to reach out. I have some reliable contacts right here in Jamaica that could guide you with customs clearance or delivery straight to the door, depending on where your shipment is heading.

Hope that helps to clear it up, Kayon! Safe shipping, and let me know if you need anything else.
