Jamaica Praise Fest 2013 - Bigger & Better

After being forced into another postponement, due to the threat in the United States of super-storm Sandy in October of last year, organizers of the Jamaica Praise Fest 2013 gospel showcase, has announced that it will now take place between April 17th and 20th, 2013 in the magic city of Montego Bay, Jamaica.
A release from Jamaica PraiseFest stated that the Praise Awards, where a number of stalwarts in the gospel music will be honored, will be among the events to be held.
"April 17, 2013 will be our 'The Praise Awards', an Oscar-type red-carpet event at the Montego Bay Convention Center, in which we will be honoring persons who have given stalwart service to the development of the Gospel. Rev. Dr. V.T. Williams, and Pastor Shirley Caesar will be receiving lifetime awards, amoung thirty other awardees,", the Jamaica PraiseFest organization stated in its release.
Rev. Dr. V.T. Williams, who heads the Jamaica Evangelistic Center at 86E Waltham Park Road in Kingston, is a well-known minister of the gospel. Rev. Dr. V.T. Williams, hailed as a true bible evangelist, has been preaching, teaching, and healing for over 50 years.
Pastor Shirley Caesar (Shirley Ann Caesar Williams) is an American Gospel music singer, song writer; recording artist, author, and Pastor, whose career has spanned six decades. She has been pastor of the Mt. Calvary Word of Faith Church in Raleigh North Caroline, for more than twenty years.

April 18-20, 2013 will be our free Gospel Concert at Dump UP Beach Montego Bay, and we have added a third night dedicated to both local and overseas choirs, which is dubbed our Choir Fest night,", the release added.
Along with the world-renowned gospel artiste, Pastor Shirley Caesar, Bishop Hezekiah Walker, William McDowell, and Bryon Cage, Jamaican gospel ministers -Jermaine Edwards, Kerron Ennis and Claudius England will be amoung those expected to grace the Jamaica PraiseFest 2013 stage.
