While looking for recipes for salted herring and Solomon A Gundy showed up from this website.
I actually bought package of smoked, salted herring in Publix. They were too salty for me, a salt lover - so I sorted through lots of recipes, but My-Island-Jamaica.com was my choice because of all of the other recipes for Jamaican food, mon.
Another search for Jamaican groceries provided enough local suspects in this area, so I am now headed out for all spice nuts, Jamaican curry powder, and coconut milk. Scotch Bonnetts ---- we'll, maybe.
I will let you know how it all works out. My interest in Jamaica was piqued by a cruise several years ago which stopped at Ochoa Rios where I climbed Dunn's River Falls. A Great Place!
