Portland is no longer a parish that is being overshadowed. Over the past few years, both locals and visitors to the island have been flanking the area as they enjoy what would seem as new discoveries and attractions in the parish.
So, if you too are heading in that direction, you must check out these restaurants in Portland Jamaica.
The list is starting off strong! At this point, Boston jerk is not just only one of the most popular restaurants in Portland, it is an entire attraction and is one of the main reasons people travel from all over the island and the world to Boston Beach.
The Boston Jerk Center is a mall centred on authentic, organic and jerk cooking done the old-fashioned homemade way. The cluster of small restaurants and vendors is centred around seven jerk pits, that serve the most delicious Jerk pork, chicken and seafood. But, jerk meals aren't the only things for sale. Fresh fruit juices, or even just fruit, and jewellery are available, and a resident DJ is on hand.
This is one of those restaurants that has something for everyone regardless of age and diet restrictions. On their menu, you will find the normal Jamaican specialities like oxtail and curry goat, but if you are feeling a bit adventurous you can try some grilled Mahi Mahi, grab a seafood boil that serves two or even try some of their speciality appetizer fritters like the Irish Choka or Pumpkin Talkari.
They are located at 19 W Palm Ave, Port Antonio and operate between the hours of 11 am and 10 pm daily with the only exception on Sundays when they open at 1 pm.
Contact Information: (876) 398-7722.
If you are looking for a more sophisticated and elegant dining experience, this fine dining restaurant is perfect for you. As their name suggests their menu comprises dishes from the local Jamaican cuisine and other cuisines as well. Unlike most fine dining restaurants they also provide delivery services.
They are located on the Royal Mall at Shop #43 Fort George St, Port Antonio. They are open from 8 am to 10 pm so you can visit at any time for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
One of Port Antonio’s most popular seafood restaurants, Anna Banana's specializes in lobster, conch, shrimp, and fish cooked to order in a variety of Jamaican styles. There is also a nightly special, such as curried goat or stewed peas, that is prepared to order.
For consumers that demand such services, Anna Banana's is also available for large reservations such as wedding celebrations.
Their menu includes a range of fish dishes, poultry, and other Jamaican and international dishes. There are vegetarian options available as well. Drunken Lion Fish and Coconut Curry vegetarian are two of the top-recommended dishes. Conch Salad, Fish and bammy and fried chicken are great options as well.
They serve breakfast lunch and dinner. They are located at Ross Craig, Long Bay P.O, Long Bay, Port Antonio.

If you enjoy fine dining and elevated and appealing dishes, this is the place for you. They have been in operation since 2016 and have definitely been leaving their mark. Their crispy coconut shrimp comes highly recommended.
It's not just the food though, their Cloud 10 bar offers one of a kind cocktails such as Seacrets and Portland Bliss. They are located at Shop #14, Bayshore Plaza.
ShanShy Beach Complex, which has been open since 1994, is one of Portland's most popular beaches, offering a unique blend of tradition and style to its visitors. Not only is it a nice place to just chill relax and enjoy a great meal but if you are looking for a location to host events, they provide that as well. Located at Bryan's Bay, Norwich, Port Antonio.
