1. Boston Jerk Center

The list is starting off strong! At this point, Boston jerk is not just only one of the most popular restaurants in Portland, it is an entire attraction and is one of the main reasons people travel from all over the island and the world to Boston Beach.

The Boston Jerk Center is a mall centred on authentic, organic and jerk cooking done the old-fashioned homemade way. The cluster of small restaurants and vendors is centred around seven jerk pits, that serve the most delicious Jerk pork, chicken and seafood. But, jerk meals aren't the only things for sale. Fresh fruit juices, or even just fruit, and jewellery are available, and a resident DJ is on hand.

2. Roots 21 Bar & Kitchen

This is one of those restaurants that has something for everyone regardless of age and diet restrictions. On their menu, you will find the normal Jamaican specialities like oxtail and curry goat, but if you are feeling a bit adventurous you can try some grilled Mahi Mahi, grab a seafood boil that serves two or even try some of their speciality appetizer fritters like the Irish Choka or Pumpkin Talkari.

They are located at 19 W Palm Ave, Port Antonio and operate between the hours of 11 am and 10 pm daily with the only exception on Sundays when they open at 1 pm.

Contact Information: (876) 398-7722.

3. Fusion Bites

If you are looking for a more sophisticated and elegant dining experience, this fine dining restaurant is perfect for you. As their name suggests their menu comprises dishes from the local Jamaican cuisine and other cuisines as well. Unlike most fine dining restaurants they also provide delivery services.

They are located on the Royal Mall at Shop #43 Fort George St, Port Antonio. They are open from 8 am to 10 pm so you can visit at any time for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

4.  Anna Banana's

One of Port Antonio’s most popular seafood restaurants, Anna Banana's specializes in lobster, conch, shrimp, and fish cooked to order in a variety of Jamaican styles. There is also a nightly special, such as curried goat or stewed peas, that is prepared to order.

For consumers that demand such services, Anna Banana's is also available for large reservations such as wedding celebrations.
