Sunset Jamaica Grande certainly lived up to my expectation, in fact, it far out-did it!

Update: In June 2014, the property changed hands to a new management, with the new name - Moon Palace Jamaica Grande.
t was my wife's birthday - March 15th.
She knew I was planning for the three of us to spend the weekend somewhere, but could never guess Sunset Grande was going to be the choice.
In fact, she was perhaps anticipating one of the newer, and perhaps larger hotels but I was never going to choose anywhere else- I had first hand experience!
You see, I have actually worked with the sister property, Sunset Beach Resort in Montego Bay and have come to appreciate the high level of service, the variety of activities and the intimate Jamaican feel.
Well, she was blown away!
They delivered everything we expected. From the quality [and quantity] of the food to the spotless hotel room. And there was always something to do- if we were ever going to be bored.
Leah, my daughter got very attached with the Kids' Club, called Club Mongoose.
Of course, the property is all inclusive so we expected food, but the variety was awesome. There was also several restaurants- local and specialty. The buffet line had oh so much to choose from! Breakfast, lunch or dinner.
There was one downside to the entire experience though, albeit is was my fault; I had just started to take a few photos [you know I love pics!] when I started to get memory error.
There was no memory! Apparently I had lost my 2 gig camera memory so I had to resort to the internal memory.
The overall experience was really good though.
So what's the best part?
Well, they had a karaoke session in the night and Leah [3 years old] went up on the platform and sung a beautiful 'Happy Birthday' song for her mummy. Everyone stood and gave her a rousing applause!
We both felt very proud of her.
I would love to share the entire experience with you, but I can't, however, here are a few of the pictures I was able to secure.
