Contest Entry #053- Beautiful Jamaican Flower, Embarrassing Moment
I saw this flower at Scotchies in Montego Bay.
Actually, I saw about a million of these flowers at Scotchies! Each one just as beautiful! The flowers and plants there was amazing!...as was the Jerk Chicken!
It was a little spicy for my American tongue, so they adjusted the heat for me a little bit.
When I received my dinner, there was a small cup of a red sauce on the side. I wasn't sure what it was, so I tried it. It was really good! No heat but very tasty!
There wasn't much of it, so I asked if I could have a little more of their red sauce. The guy working looked at me kinda funny and gave me two more little cups. I asked him if they sold their sauce in bottles to go and what they called this tasty little treat!
Again, he looked at me kinda funny and said "It's catsup mon!" I think I turned as red as that catsup :-) We all had a great laugh over that one!
