Contest Entry #058- Jamaican dishes by a beachside chef
I am a chef by profession. I enjoy cooking all types of food. For me, Jamaican dishes fill your belly and have nice balance with vegetable, starch and meat with lot of flavour.
The picture is of grilled fish, steamed fish, and a jerk chicken. Everything is served with rice and peas, pasta salad or potato salad, and shredded vegetable.
I work at Frenchmans Cove bar and grill, a lovely restaurant on the beach. Every time I cook for a customer I want them to fulljoy their meal while they enjoy the beach and the view and sea day or evening.
It makes me happy to see my customers happy. With the Jamaican food options, I serve rice and peas to customers any day of the week but normally thatโs something special for Sunday dinner in Jamaica.
Sunday dinners are important in Jamaica because you get time with your family with a nice dinner.
