Sandcastles Ocho Rios isn’t like most other accommodations in the resort town. It affords you the opportunity to immerse yourself in Jamaica and live as the locals do for the length of your stay.

Many visitors choose Sandcastles because of its affordability, proximity to the town and other fun spots and the comfort of the accommodations there.

There are 174 apartment-like rooms with varying views of the property. They have 4 types of accommodation to choose from:

Studio

The studio has a bathroom, a small dining area and a kitchenette. It only accommodates two persons; two adults or an adult, and a child.

One Bedroom

This features a separate bedroom, bathroom, and living room with additional sleeping space and a full kitchen. This room can accommodate four guests, 2 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

Two Bedroom

This apartment has all the features of the 1 bedroom suite but with an additional bedroom. It has the capacity to accommodate 5 people. Five adults or 3 adults and 2 children.

Two Bedroom Penthouse

The 2 bedroom penthouse has all the features of the 2 bedroom suite with the additional feature of an upper and lower level as well as a large private patio. It also has the capacity to accommodate 5 people.

  • Satellite TV
  • Pool, Garden or ocean view

Are kids allowed at Sandcastle?

Yes, the Sandcastle Ocho Rios is a family-friendly hotel and children are allowed.

Do you arrange housekeeping services?

Yes. Full housekeeping services are available.

Is there a transportation service?

Yes. Sandcastle Ocho Rios will arrange transportation for you to and from the airport whether it is the Sangster International in Montego Bay or the Norman Manley International in Kingston.

How do I check in?

Since the Sandcastle isn’t the typical hotel, there is no front desk to “check in.” However, the property manager will be on-site at your estimated time of arrival to welcome you, hand over your keys, and provide an orientation of the unit you will be staying in. She will also give a brief rundown of Ocho Rios and its environs.

Is there Wi-Fi access?

Yes. However, only some units have private Wi-Fi in the rooms. There is free Wi-Fi access by the pool area.

Is the resort private & secure?

Yes. Uniformed guards patrol the area very frequently. But you should be vigilant when it comes to valuables and personal safety.

Does Sandcastles Ocho Rios Jamaica have a beach?

Yes, it is located right on the beach.

Activities At Sandcastles

Well, other than the pool, Sandcastles encourages you to enjoy the island and not just Ocho Rios. They will gladly provide information on the best excursions; some can be booked directly through the front desk.

You can even make your enquiries before your trip if you would like to.

Dining at Sandcastles Ocho Rios

There are no restaurants on the property, but you are in the heart of Ocho Rios. There are restaurants in every direction serving everything from local to international fare. Here are a few.

Sandcastles Ocho Rios may not be the most refined or modern when it comes to amenities, however, they are an affordable, family-friendly option in one of the most beautiful towns in Jamaica with so much to see, do and enjoy.
