Contest Entry #7- Sky Beach Bar and Seafood Grill

I consider this place a gem because we weren't looking for it. It wasn't listed in our villa welcome book, trip advisor or any of those other touristy places to visit.

We simply found it by driving through the parish of Hopewell Hanover, Jamaica.

The atmosphere is great (100% waterfront), the drinks were delicious (natural fruit smoothie with honey), and the Jerk shrimp was to die for. The prices are very affordable so the locals can eat and drink here.

This local spot was very special for me because the owners, a local doctor and his lovely wife made us feel very welcome. We were taken on a tour of each authentic hut(used for private dining) and introduced to some very lively reggae music.

We could tell this place was made for the locals, however, it is to be enjoyed by any fortunate tourist who happens to find it.
