Contest Entry #008 - Sweet Jamaica, Land we love!
In 2011 I visited Jamaica for more of a business type trip, I fell in love instantly with the island and knew that I had to bring my daughters to see the beauty of this island!
Being a single mother, I wasn't sure how but prayed and trusted God. A year later God made it possible in April 2012.
I was able to bring mother and my two daughters (at the time ages 7 & 10) to visit the beautiful island... and they too fell in love!
While we were there we were able to visit a school and donate school supplies.
We had the time of our lives. Before we could even make it back home to the states we were already making plans to return.
This picture shows just excited we were - though. We were really sad because it was taken on our last day in Jamaica- place the Sunset Jamaica Grande - Sunset photo shoot April 2 2012.
March 2013, we were able to return for yet another trip, this time we were blessed to have a few more family members with us.
This time we were able to visit an orphanage- one of the Mustard Seed communities & spend time with the children. It was really a life changing experience.
Once again we were also able to donate school supplies.
Everyone always asks, "why keep going back to Jamaica" and we tell them, it's true - Once you go, you really know!
I can't wait to return again next year, as visiting Jamaica has become more than a vacation to my family & me - we love the land, we love the wonderful people of Jamaica.
