What many of us do is hop onto google and do a quick search, check out the restaurants' websites, their ratings and reviews and make a decision based on that.
There are no Michelin-starred restaurants in Jamaica, a shocker I know. But, we’ve compiled a list of the highest-reviewed restaurants on the island.
So if you are in Jamaica and are looking to go out and enjoy a new restaurant but can’t seem to choose, here are the top 10 rated restaurants in Jamaica according to google.
For more accuracy, I carefully selected those restaurants with a minimum of 2.5k reviews and no less than 4 stars. Unsurprisingly, many of the island’s favourites made the list.
1. Rick's Café

The now world-renowned restaurant was the first establishment of its kind on the West End Cliffs, providing a different option from Negril's magnificent seven-mile beach.
Due to its naturally occurring cliffs, Rick's Cafe has always boasted an unrivalled view of the sunset. Over time, Rick's Cafe has established itself as Negril's premier gathering place, and watching the sunset there has become a Jamaican custom. For those who dare, cliff jumping is also the main attraction.
2. Margaritaville Montego Bay

Gloucester Avenue is the "Hip Strip" of the community where Margaritaville Montego Bay is situated. It is a restaurant/bar where guests can use a fantastic slide.
It boasts large-screen TVs that can be used for daytime viewing.
Almost any local or American dish you can think of is available here, and the food and drinks are excellent. One of their most popular dishes is the Cheeseburger in Paradise. The Pina Coladas are also highly praised by many.

3. Macau Gaming Lounge & Bar

Jimmy Buffet, a multi-millionaire, is the creator of the excellent beachfront bar and grill Margaritaville in Ocho Rios. They have managed to uphold a high standard while maintaining a relaxed, country-style atmosphere.
Across from Ocho Rios Bay Beach in Island Village, Margaritaville Ocho Rios is conveniently located in the centre of Ocho Rios. The restaurant serves up delectable food quickly throughout the day.
You can eat anything, from Jerk chicken or pork to seafood with an island twist. The grill is constantly blazing, and Margaritaville is renowned for serving some of the island's top burgers.

6. Murray's Fish and Jerk Hut

This is an excellent place to find delicious Jamaican food. There are jerked chicken, pork, sausage, rabbit, steamed fish, stewed fish, goat meat soups like Manish Water, and fish tea among the available foods (soup).
There are many places to sit and enjoy your meal while sipping on an Appleton cocktail, beer, fruit juice, or water in tranquil surroundings. The renowned Devon House Ice Cream is offered for purchase as dessert.
Murray's, fueled by Appleton Estate Rums, is the ideal location for group gatherings because it offers great food, enjoyable company, and, let's not forget the vibes and drinks. Here, Appleton Signature nights are held, featuring well-known artists who delight audiences with songs they've performed over the years.

7. Usain Bolt's Tracks & Records (Kingston)

A few Scotchies eateries can be found all over the island, and they are all renowned for serving real Jamaican jerked chicken and jerked pork. The prices are fairly affordable, and the food is excellent. Additionally, the setting is authentically Jamaican outside.
This is a simple dining establishment. It has a somewhat authentic and rustic appearance. It is located outside and is very informal. Here, you can order chicken by pound, half-pound, or quarter-pound.
Once cut into smaller pieces, it is served in tin foil. You can select from a delicious side dish from the Jamaican festival, rice and peas, yam, roasted breadfruit, or sweet potato.
