Jamaican hotels are always improving their offerings to ensure your stay in Jamaica is a memorable one. Swim-up rooms were once only available in some of the more luxury focussed adults-only resorts but now there are many other types offering this coveted accommodation enhancement. They have also changed the way we all see ground floor rooms.

Usually, they are the cheaper, less appealing rooms and not because they are less decorated or have fewer amenities, but simply because they are on the bottom floor and don't really offer much of a view.

But now, seeing that swim-up suites are on the ground floor, that will make up for your loss of an expansive view. The pools are in most cases semi-private, meaning only the persons staying in those ground floor suites are allowed to use them.

Here are Jamaican hotels with swim-up rooms.

Sandals Resorts - Multiple Locations

Sandals Montego Bay | Jamaican Hotels With Swim-Up Rooms

You will be hard-pressed to find a new perk or added amenity that isn’t available on at least one Sandals resort property. In fact, they were the first hotel in the Caribbean to offer swim-up bars and accommodations with private pools. So naturally, swim-up rooms were the next step. They have in total 4 Jamaican hotels with swim-up rooms. They are:

1. SANDALS MONTEGO BAY
   
   Sandals Montego Bay has three types of Swim-up suites to choose from.
   
   The beachfront swim-up suites are the closest to the beach and offer butler services, a semi-private swimming pool, a Tranquillity soaking tub and a private patio with lounge chairs.
   
   Ocean swim-up suites have views of the ocean from your semi-private pool, Tranquillity soaking tub, private patio and lounge chair.
   
   Garden View Swim Up Luxury Junior Suites have designated concierge services, tropical garden and pool views, lounge chairs, outdoor seating and luxury airport transfers.
   


2. SANDALS NEGRIL
   
   Sandals Negril’s swim-up suites offer partial ocean views, tropical garden views, lounge chairs, separate living room space and butler services.
   
   
3. SANDALS ROYAL CARIBBEAN
   
   The swim-up rooms are located in the Caribbean village gives you access to a semi-private swim-up pool, private patio with bistro, Tranquillity soaking tub and garden views.
   
   
4. SANDALS SOUTHCOAST
   
   Sandals South Coast has 2 types of swim-up suites to choose from.
   
   The Beachfront Swim-Up located in the Dutch Village offers a Tranquillity soaking tub, pool access and butler service.
   
   The South Seas Rondoval Swim-up Suites are 20 secluded tropical garden suites with butler services, a Tranquillity tub, a patio, lounge chairs and a private pool with direct access from the bedroom.
   
   Guests in the Rondoval suites also have access to the semi-private lagoon pool, the longest of this type in all the Sandals resorts in the Caribbean.
   

Breathless Montego Bay Resort and Spa

Breathless All-Inclusive Montego Bay offers swim-up suites to its Xhale club members only. Members have access to Junior and Master suites with private swim-up pools, a terrace with a whirlpool tub, a private lounge and a butler. The lighting in the room can be controlled by tablet and it can also order room service 24/7.

Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall

This all-inclusive resort offers 1 bedroom swim-up suites with either a semi-private pool or a junior suite with access to the main pool.

Azul Beach Resort Negril

Azul Beach Resort Negril offers 4 swim-up suites with large private terraces, suitable for families and couples. The semi-private pool leads directly to the swim-up bar so there is no need to walk to get your favourite drink.

Royalton Resorts

Both Royalton Negril and Royalton Blue Waters in Montego Bay have swim-out accommodations which can either be 1 bedroom junior suite or a 1 bedroom presidential swim. They have private or semi-private swim-up pools, private terraces and the presidential suites also come with double Jacuzzi tubs.

Zoetry

Zoetry Resorts and Spa Montego Bay has ocean or tropical view junior suites with private swim-out pools and terraces. Some ocean view suites also come with soaking tubs as well.

Ocean Coral Spring

The swim-up suites at Ocean Coral Spring include, of course, direct access to the swimming pool as well as a fully furnished private terrace and separate living room.

Ocean Eden Bay

This is the sister hotel of Ocean Coral Spring specifically for adults. There are two types of accommodations, the Swim-up Junior Suites and the exclusive Privilege Swim-Up Junior Suites.

They both offer a separate living area, whirlpool and swim-up access to the pool. The only difference between both rooms is, that with Privilege you have access to the exclusive services at Ocean Eden Bay. Both rooms accommodate three people.

Grand Lido

This au naturel resort has 26 ocean-facing suites some of which are Sunset junior suites with swim-up pools. Guests in this ocean view room have their very own in-suite Jacuzzi and a private terrace. As a guest of Grand Lido, you also have access to the nearby Royalton Negril resorts.
