Are you a frequent visitor to the breathtaking resort town of Negril? Do you feel as if you have seen and done everything in Negril? Okay then, you’re not.

So just maybe you are a newbie who is eager to explore the many delights that Negril has to offer? Hmmm, maybe you fall somewhere in between? Wherever you fall, if you are looking for things to do in Negril I’ve got a few recommendations just for you.

These fun activities are bound to drag you out of your hiding place in your hotel room and get you rocking to the beat of picturesque Negril, Jamaica faster than you can finish your drink at the swim-up bar.

Negril is more than just incredible sunsets, white sand beaches and turquoise waters. All it takes is an adventurous spirit and Negril will embrace you in its warm ambiance and cool hangouts.

Negril is more than just incredible sunsets, white sand beaches and turquoise waters. All it takes is an adventurous spirit and Negril will embrace you in its warm ambiance and cool hangouts.

Here they are, starting with:

  1. BEACH AND SUNSET TOURS

Firstly, I highly recommend the Beach & Sunset Tour, it’s your opportunity to bask in an undiluted, natural romantic cocoon when the golden sunset casts its splendor around you and your significant other.

It’s just as great if you are alone because the sunset will take your cares away to distant horizons and give you peace of mind. It’s a good time to meditate and reflect.

  2. WATERSPORTS

There is something to be said for sun sea and sand especially when its snow, sleet, and frozen feet in other lands.

It does help too if the waters are as warm, clear and safe as the waters in the Negril area are known to be. So if you like the water Negril has your name stamped all over it.

You can spice it up by engaging in water sports such as:
    • jet skiing
    • snorkeling
    • scuba diving
    • deep sea fishing
    • kayaking
    • parasailing
    • taking the river tube
    • riding on the banana boat
    • riding on the glass bottom boat
    • reveling on the sunset Catamaran Cruises
  3. HORSEBACK BEACH RIDE

Enjoy the beach in a whole new way; take a Small-Group Horseback Beach Ride.

Trot along 4 miles (6 km) of dappled trails and stunning private beaches with a trusty guide and gentle horses designed for riders of all levels, including children.

  4. NEGRIL CRAFT MARKET

Sometimes there is nothing like a good shopping trip to get your juices pumping. Why not visit the Negril Craft Market and pick up thoughtful, intricate and colourful indigenous Jamaican art and crafts from artisans and vendors who are happy to help you make memorable selections for your own memories or your loved ones back home.

  5. COOL RUNNINGS WATER PARK

If you think you have had enough of the beach then I definitely recommend Kool Runnings Water Park in Negril. Slide, play paint ball, ride go cart, cruise the lazy river, enjoy food and much more.

  6. CHOPPER TOUR

Do you love looking at things from above? Then I think it’s time for you to try the helicopter tour. The views are endless and uninterrupted.

  7. THE RICK'S CAFE SUNSET EXPERIENCE

After all that fun you could take the afternoon off and visit the ever popular Rick's Café. Take a pull up your stool and wait for the sunset to catch the sea on fire and turn the horizon into a kaleidoscope of colours beautifully displayed just for you.

  8. LOCAL EVENTS

Not ready to relax just yet? You can set the night to music as you immerse yourself in local nightlife around the town where locals frequently stage entertaining events.

You can paint the town red and make your friends green with envy as you immerse yourself into the sights, sounds and flavors of Negril.

With so much activities and things to do in Negril, you now understand why Negril is called the 'capital of casual' right? Great, see you there soon.
