Biggest Jamaican showoff (Joke)

Jamaicans heading to England on a boat in 1959 departed out of Kingston docking in Portland before heading out to sea.
The passengers including my father was allowed off the boat to stretch their legs before final departure.
Without hesitation a man standing next to him exclaimed loudly in the biggest twang ever. "Mon England is beautiful, my father then quietly told him to stop his twanging because yuh still deh a Jamaica yuh damn fool, dis ah Portland wey yuh deh.
Can not imagine what happened when he finally made it to England, must have been double twang.
