Fishing Charters in Jamaica

QUESTION:
We have never done the deep sea fishing before and we are coming to Jamaica in August; my son (14) and husband wanted to give it a try.

I noticed that some charters may charge approx. 350 and up for a 1/2 day, is this per person?

Also, with only 2 of them going would they pair them up with others to make a full boat? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Also if you could recommend any reputable charters that would be great.

Welcome to Jamaica!
Fishing, especially deep sea fishing, is a truly exciting adventure here so go for it!

Did you already review the article by Ryan on fishing in Jamaica? If not, take a quick peek now.

The $350 (minimum) you mentioned is usually for the entire 1/2 day trip and would be for everyone (not for single person) usually 5 passengers, on average.

Both full and half day excursions include captain, crew, bait and tackle.

Some excursions will carry snacks and beverages while others might not. I'd suggest you confirm (either way) first.
