If you're the type of person who loves the beauty of the outdoors and loves an occasional adrenaline rush, you will not want to miss out on visiting the fantastic Mystic Mountain Rainforest Adventure Park.

Offering a number of exciting activities since its opening in 2008, Mystic Mountain has fast become a “must-see” destination on the itineraries of many visitors to the island as well as local thrill-seekers. 

Set entirely in a lush, tropical rainforest, atop a mountain, the natural surroundings of this unique 100-acre theme park provides the perfect backdrop for the exhilarating bobsled, zip line, and chairlift rides guests can experience. 

WHAT DOES MYSTIC MOUNTAIN OFFERS?

Whichever way you choose to enjoy the natural wonders of  Mystic Mountain, you are sure to have a memorable, one-of-a-kind experience and take in some remarkable scenery in this thriving ecosystem that is home to over 30 species of birds and 50 kinds of trees, as well as a rich assortment of plant-life.

Fun activities at Mystic Mountain Jamaica

The Bobsled Adventure

Create your own version of  “Cool Runnings” as you hop on board your own bobsled cart and careen down the mountainside along 1000 metres of steel tracks.

You control how fast your cart travels with the hand-brake, allowing you an invigorating journey at your preferred pace so you can take it the beautiful scenery and incredible view of the bay in Ocho Rios. 

The Zip Line Adventure

On the exciting zip line ride, you can make like Tarzan for a day, as you glide from each one of the seven platforms along this fascinating course that will let you experience the rainforest canopy up close and personal, as your toes brush the tree-tops.  

Watch out for birds along your journey, and you should also be able to spot the glorious Dunn's River Falls in the distance as you descend the mountainside.

There are six lines, each measuring about 100 meters in length, allowing you to zip your way from top to bottom, if you so desire.

The SkyExplorer Chairlift

Those who are looking for a more relaxing way to experience Mystic Mountain can grab a ride on the SkyExplorer Chairlift, which is also used by bobsledders and zip liners to ascend the 700-foot climb to the mountain-top.  

Visitors who don't wish to participate in these more vigorous activities can simply stay put and take a few pictures as they enjoy a panoramic view of the seascape and dense, green beauty of the rainforest as they continue back down to the park's entrance, after a short stop at the very top.  

Mystic Mountain guests who truly want to get the most out of their time at the park, also have the option of taking part in all three of these great activities by purchasing the Tranopy Adventure Tour Package.

Is There More?

Oh Yes!  Once you've taken in enough of the beautiful, natural landscape, the fun is far from over; cool off by slip,sliding away down the giant 77-meter steel tubular water slide which ends in the refreshing Infinity Edge swimming pool, located right beside the bobsled tracks so you can watch and wave to your companions as they zoom past.

Enjoy a delicious meal of traditional Caribbean cuisine at the inviting Mystic Dining at 700 Feet restaurant, climb up the lookout tower or visit the mini museum at the Mystic Pavilion, or pick up that perfect souvenir at the gift shop.

There are also delightful butterfly and hummingbird gardens you can stroll through to see some of Jamaica's most lovely specimens of these two species. 

Where Exactly Is Mystic Mountain Jamaica Located?

Mystic Mountain Rainforest Adventure Park is located just west of Ocho Rios, just a short five minutes away from the cruise ship dock.

Many tour companies offer it as one of their excursions, as do some of the resorts as well. From Ocho Rios, guests can hire a friendly, local cab operator to transport them to Mystic Mountain, and possibly arrange to be picked up at a designated time by the same person.

Those who are renting a car will find ample parking located on-site for their convenience.
