Omar - Says Jamrock Forever

Growning up, JAMAICA for me was just a place I was born. Leaving as a child to settle in New Haven, CT was a choice that was made for me without any explanation to why.
In 2006, I got the opportunity to return on my own for a work related project. When the plane landed in Kingston and the cabin door opened, I could remember this rush of air I had forgot how it smelled. It took everything in me not to pass out from the sensation.
I made my way through customs, watching people come and go as if this was part of their daily lives and once I was out of the airport, a sense of FREEDOM I had never realize I was missing was RE-IGNIGHTED!
JAMAICA became not just my birth place, but the source of all my strength, courage, faith and LIFE.
I spend a week, moving from one side of the island to the other. I met people who were nothing more then shadows of my past but they all remembered the little boy born to this island and welcomed me as if I just return home from a long voyage.
If man is to ever understand his FUTURE, it starts in the remnants of his past. I found a source of strength that year that has totally altered the way ive been living my life with the goal to RETURN to my home and to what ive been missing all of my life.
JAMAICA is power, strength, beauty, ingenuity, SPEED, grace all wrapped in the skin that stand me appart from anyone else i've ever stood against.
Make no mistake when I state this: JAMAICA IS POWERFUL, she protects ALL of her children and I await the day when I too can return to the enbrace of her land, sand, and seas.
JAMROCK FOREVAH!
