Choosing your
Jamaican Tour guide!

OK, so you decided that Jamaica is your destination. So now you need a Jamaican tour guide; someone to direct, point and guide you with all the level of personal security your require.

But before all that, you'll need someone who is knowledgeable of the country and who deeply understands the culture right?

Of course!

You will also need someone who knows the best of food, the best of places to visit, attractions and historical sites, as well as someone who is aware of all the 'dos and donts'.

And don't overlook this...

You will need someone who is traditionally professional, people friendly- and I would suggest, speaks local dialect but also fluent in English. Please don't expect anything less.

So how can you acquire the services of such a Jamaican Tour Guide?
[The big question]

I'll be honest with you and say, it is not so easy, seriously.

If you arrive and simply utter that you might need a guide, several people, not lest the local tour taxi operators will come rushing to your assistance.

But wait!

Don't just take the first that comes to you offering his services; we do have tremendously professional and sincere guides, but there are still some that may not have your interest at heart - the last thing you need as a visitor in a foreign country right?

If you are staying at a local hotel, I would suggest you seek advice from your guest relations or visitor guide desk. For the most part, you can trust them to give you solid advice.

Check with friends who came here before too!
More often than not, they know someone who could be a great asset to your trip.

There is also one person I would haste to recommend to you, his name is Chester- a personal friend.

Chester hosts island wide individual and group guided tours all across Jamaica.

He has been in this business for a number of years and knows virtually all the 'nook and cranny' of the island. But most importantly he is a genuine, sincere and 'down to earth' professional man- albeit full of humour.

I met Ches through his wife Dione, who I share a very good friendship with- She and I went to college and graduated together.

If you would like to contact Chester Directly, Click Here. He will be elated to get back in touch with you.

So my final word to you is simple; select a reputable Jamaican tour guide and your trip will be the best ever! See you around!
